Universal Print
Replace print servers, move printers to the cloud. Driverless, cloud-native, directly through Microsoft 365.
Your Print Servers Cost More Than They Print
On-premises print servers are a relic: dedicated hardware, regular updates, driver chaos on every endpoint. When a driver update fails, an entire department stops printing. Remote employees need VPN to print. And your IT admin spends hours on printer issues instead of strategic work.
Universal Print is already included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium, E3, and E5: every licensed user adds 100 print jobs a month to one tenant-wide pool. Run the pool empty and nobody stops printing — your admin gets an overage alert and buys an add-on pack. Modern printers connect directly to the cloud, older models through a lightweight connector. Intune deploys them automatically to endpoints.
All that is missing is a structured migration: printer inventory, compatibility check, connector setup, and a rollout plan.
